The demand for Mechatronics engineers is rising very rapidly in areas diversely ranging from aerospace to automobiles; biotechnology to automation; robotics to agriculture; control systems to data logging; service engineering to systems engineering and many more.
With a mechatronics course, you can work in important areas of robotics like design, R&D, manufacturing, production, safety and quality.
This Department offers a range of courses in this field. There are several examining bodies that the Department admits students to undertake courses that lead to their examinations. These are KNEC, NITA and Internal Examinations.
The courses offered in the Department can be taken in two modes, either regular or part-time. The part-time courses are meant to cater to the students who are working and cannot find time to study during the day time, so they attend evening classes. Regular courses run from 8.00 – 5.30pm from Monday to Friday. Part-time courses run from 5.30pm – 8.30pm every day from Monday to Friday and on Saturday they take a full day i.e. from 9.00 – 5.00pm.
The Department boasts of qualified and competent Lecturers that are vast in various fields of Electrical Engineering. Students are trained in both theory and Practice. We have well-equipped workshops and Laboratories for students' practicals.
